Michelle Delgado is a fourth year English and American Studies major at the University of Virginia. She is from Leesburg, VA, and will primarily be covering education issues this summer for Charlottesville Tomorrow. She recently studied abroad in Scotland and is excited to be back in Charlottesville. After graduation she hopes to pursue a career in journalism.

What makes Charlotesville-Albemarle special to you?

It has a great small town feel with the cultural attractions of a big city. Charlottesville also has all of my positive memories of going to college at U. Va.

Ultimate Charlottesville Saturday?

I would start by getting brunch at Bluegrass Grill, and then stopping by the Charlottesville Market, followed by coffee at Mudhouse in Crozet, and then hiking in the Shenandoah Valley and ending my day with a concert at Jefferson Theater.

Most looked-forward-to part of working at Charlottesville Tomorrow?

I’m looking forward to getting a feel for what is happening in the community, and getting a taste of hard news journalism with deadlines.
