What makes Charlottesville-Albemarle special to you?
I've lived in Charlottesville for most of my life, and one thing I love about the area is the mix of familiarity and novelty. I have my favorite spots in town to frequent (whether on the downtown mall or elsewhere), but there's always a restaurant I haven't tried or a place I've never visited when I'm in the mood for something new.
Ultimate Charlottesville Saturday?
I'd start with perusing the City Market in the morning, then getting a late brunch at Bluegrass Grill. Afterwards I'd browse shops on the downtown mall or relax and read outside Mudhouse, and then in the evening see a show at the Garage with friends.
Most looked-forward-to part of working at Charlottesville Tomorrow?
I'm looking forward to diving deeper into Charlottesville's story and seeing more closely what impacts how this city runs. Having grown up in Charlottesville, I'm interested in exploring the behind-the-scenes decisions that shape the way I experience my hometown.
