News Intern - 2013-2014
Maggie Ambrose is a fourth year at the University of Virginia, studying Cognitive Science and Computer Science. She lived mostly in Arlington, Virginia but also in Sarasota, Florida before coming to Charlottesville. This semester she will be interning with Charlottesville Tomorrow, planning a service trip to Florida, and enjoying all that Charlottesville offers.
What makes Charlottesville-Albemarle special to you?
I love that Charlottesville-Albemarle is full of people who appreciate the area just as much if not more than I do. Nowhere else that I have lived has had the same feeling of community interest that I found in Charlottesville.
Ultimate Charlottesville Saturday?
My ultimate Saturday starts with coffee at the City Farmer’s Market and picking up some fresh vegetables. A friend and I will go on a long afternoon hike in Shenandoah, complete with a view. For dinner, I’d cook the local produce with pasta and have a delicious meal.
Most looked-forward-to part of working at Charlottesville Tomorrow?
Among many things, I’m looking forward to gaining more of an understanding of Charlottesville-Albemarle from the extremely knowledgeable staff here!
