Building and Loving Where You Live

Hosted by: Charlottesville Tomorrow and Crozet Community Association

Anthony Flaccavento, author of Building a Healthy Economy from the Bottom Up: Harnessing Real-World Experience for Transformative Change, and Melody Warnick, author of This is Where You Belong: The Art and Science of Loving the Place You Live, will discuss their works on developing one’s home and community.

Why should you attend?

“Flaccavento deftly weaves a big-picture vision for building a better economy – one that truly serves our needs and long-term well-being – with down-to-earth stories and practical tips for how to set these changes in motion within your own household and community.” – Stacy Mitchell, codirector of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance and author of Big-Box Swindle

“Warnick convincingly argues that one of the most important relationships in your life is with where you live. This book is an empowering guide for anyone who wonders if they will ever feel like they really belong to a community. I already feel more inspired.”   – Kelly McGonigal, author of The Upside of Stress
