Moto Saloon wins initial approval of live-music permit

The owner of the Black Market Moto Saloon won a mixed victory Tuesday night after he rallied a small army of music-lovers to help convince Charlottesville officials to allow him to resume hosting live shows despite concerns from some of his Woolen Mills neighbors.
The city Planning Commission gave initial approval for a special-use permit that would allow limited live music at the establishment, located at the intersection of Market Street and Meade Avenue.
