No easy answer for police firing range

Despite waves of criticism from residents, Albemarle County’s police chief is holding his ground.
The proposed open-air firing range in Keene is not a luxury, it’s a necessity, said Col. Steve Sellers.
“I think it’s so critical that every day that we wait, we are creating a huge liability risk, not only for the safety of our officers, but for the safety of the community,” he said.
