Albemarle chairmanship vote stalls for third year

A disagreement that opened old wounds and ended in deadlock kicked off the first Albemarle County Board of Supervisors meeting of 2013 on Wednesday.
A vote on who would be the new board chairman — historically a symbolic action — tied, 3-3, meaning Ann H. Mallek will conduct board meetings for a third straight year.
