Several hotel projects in the works in area

The Charlottesville region stands to gain hundreds of hotel rooms in the next couple of years if several projects in various stages of planning and development come to fruition.
Although the area already has more than 3,000 hotel rooms, local development leaders, tourism advocates and industry experts said the market appears capable of supporting the expansion.
