Group zeros in on 2020 Plan for area senior population

A decade ago, a group of community organizations outlined a plan to improve senior living and services in the Charlottesville area by 2020. With the target date less than six years away, community leaders are entering the final stretch.


Peter Thompson, executive director of the Senior Center in Charlottesville, said area seniors have more community and recreational opportunities than they did a decade ago, but the group working on the 2020 Plan still has a long way to go.
