Environmental work served as a gateway to local politics for Palmer

Liz Palmer, who represents the Samuel Miller District on the Board of Supervisors, was recently named its chairwoman at the board’s first meeting of 2016.
And for the longest time, she never thought she would ever be in this kind of position, or one similar to it.
“I never ever thought that I would get involved in politics,” Palmer said. “Ever.”
