County Board of Supervisors held another public hearing Wednesday regarding the current budget proposal at the County Office Building on McIntire Road, but only a handful of residents came to share their thoughts with the board and public.
Of the 10 speakers, only three spoke against the proposed tax rate increase, and the majority of the speakers supporting the budget and advertised tax rate did so in regard to funding for Albemarle County Public Schools.
Tom Foley, county executive, laid out his budget proposal to the Board of Supervisors in February, which asks for very few new spending increases and initiatives but also calls for an increase in property taxes.
