Life’s work of ‘Flash’ comes to fruition

On a wintry night in 1949, the air was as cold as the several inches of snow that covered Charlottesville.
Recently married photographer Ed Roseberry had the option of staying home with his wife or venturing out into the frigid elements. His decision to bundle up and head out the door speaks to his devotion to his profession.
“I was young, of course, at the time,” said Roseberry, who will celebrate his 92nd birthday on the Fourth of July. “I didn’t mind going out in the snow and ice during cold weather to do photography.
