Albemarle school division seeking study of high school capacity

Albemarle County Public Schools is seeking to hire a consultant to study its high school capacity issues.
The desired outcome is to have the consultant evaluate existing facilities and needs of the county’s high schools by looking at student population growth, as well as instructional needs and purposes of its facilities, and come back with recommendations.
The county school division last examined high school capacity nearly two years ago, but this time around, officials hope to take a broader approach to the issue, factoring in parity and examining the use of space for instructional purposes and needs.
