An Albemarle County schools committee has recommended that the division spend more than $27 million over five years on three elementary school expansions, two of which have been given increased priority after the June closure of Yancey Elementary.
The Long Range Planning Advisory Committee will present a report to the School Board on Thursday calling for the expansion of Scottsville Elementary by 20,000 square feet and the acceleration of the second phase of the Red Hill Elementary expansion.
