Walker Upper Elementary School took a break from Standards of Learning test prep for an afternoon of music and laughter at the school's inaugural Lip-Sync Battle.

Fifth- and sixth-graders filled the school's auditorium on Thursday for two sets of performances by students and teachers, which featured contemporary pop songs and TV show themes.

Students will vote to select the winner of the competition by next week.
