Albemarle supervisors show support for $59M in bond referendum proposals

The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors voted Wednesday to support potentially putting up to about $59 million in projects in a bond referendum this fall.

Supervisors agreed to provide guidance to the county School Board about the potential referendum, saying it will support the issuance of about $47 million in bonds for school projects. They also supported about $12 million in bonds for other local government projects.

The School Board is slated to vote May 24 on the projects that would be included in the referendum and whether to request further action from supervisors.
