Charlottesville Tomorrow awarded Sustainable Publishing Solutions grant funding from The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation
Last week, The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation announced Charlottesville Tomorrow as one of 26 recipients who will be receiving funding for audience centered upgrades and improvements of our digital publishing systems.
“In combination with the results from our recent audience survey on Charlottesville media, we’re excited to see how improvements to our news delivery platforms will help us better serve our current audience, and provide additional ways to reach new readers,” said Charlottesville Tomorrow Development Director Michaux Hood.
We’re proud to be part of Knight’s efforts to help newsrooms across the country optimize the use of technology to reach new audiences and engage and serve their communities. Of the 26 selected newsrooms, 42% are nonprofit organizations; 42% are led by or serve communities of color; and 61% are committed to delivering local journalism.
