Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction Institute

Beth Roesch was one of hundreds of Albemarle County Public Schools employees who took part in the 2015 Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction Institute–an annual professional development program that allows administrators and building leaders to spread high-quality practices throughout the division. Along with her colleagues from Baker-Butler, Roesch discussed ways in which the school’s nature trail could be used to teach science curriculum. In addition to academic learning, principal Steve Saunders said a goal of the effort is to build community through cross-grade learning.
