James Bryant is running unopposed in the Nov. 6, 2018 special election for a seat on the Charlottesville School Board.
Bryant was appointed to the School Board in April to fill a vacancy. His seat will be up for election again in November 2019.
Bryant was interviewed by Charlottesville Tomorrow and asked nine questions about his qualifications, priorities and important education issues. Included in the box at the right are links to the full transcript of the interview.

Family: Single, My mother Frances Bryant is my inspiration and stanch supporter. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters and a older brother, sister, and father who is deceased..
Interests: I am a Christian and love my pastor Dr. Alvin Edwards and my church- Mount Zion First African Baptist Church. I love to mentor and volunteer my time and talent working with young people. As my pastor would say, “it is your responsibility to lift up, inspire, motivate, and bless others with your God given talent.” I also love to minister through music.
