From those who received their first skateboard the day before to those who can land a fakie big spin consistently with ease, you see it all at the Charlottesville Skate Park in the eastern portion of McIntire Park.  Skateboards, roller skates and blades, scooters and bikes all have a home there. And participants of all ages do, too.  During times of Covid-19, this relatively new Charlottesville landmark has offered the community much needed outdoor recreation and social engagement opportunities.  Go, and you also will see people walking the neighboring trails, yoga mats with small groups exercising together and parents having picnics while watching their kids go down ramps faster than anyone could imagine a 7-year-old could possibly go.
