Republican Rodney Thomas is an incumbent candidate for the Rio District seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.  Four of the six seats on board will be determined in the November 5 election. Other candidates in this race include: Brad Sheffield (D).

Bio: A lifelong resident of Albemarle County, I decided to pursue a career in the print industry after graduation. By 1979 I had two children with my wife Nancy, but was still able to purchase Charlottesville Press, Inc.– a family owned print shop I still operate today. I have served on the board of many local organizations, including helping charter the Boy’s and Girl’s Club in Charlottesville. I spent eight years on the Planning Commission for the Rio district from 1998 to 2006 and have been on the Board of Supervisors during the last four years.

Education:  Completed VA Certified Planning Commissioner’s Program, graduated Sorenson Institute for Political Leadership
