Semester Intern - Summer 2013

Andrew is a junior at the University of Mary Washington, where he is earning a major in Geography and minors in Urban Studies and German. During his summer internship with Charlottesville Tomorrow, he will help report on local public education news as well as other topics. As a member of the Community Outreach and Resource organization at Mary Washington, he is eager to help build a more aware, informed community here in his hometown. Andrew enjoys hiking in the Blue Ridge and kayaking down the Rivanna, among many other outdoors activities the region has to offer.

What makes the Charlottesville Albemarle area special to you?
We have it all. An amazing array of good food, drink, art, music, natural wonders and community. These aspects make this area a wonderful place to grow up live and work. Basically you can never get bored here.

What is your ultimate Charlottesville Saturday?
Brunch at Bizou, that is if they served brunch on Saturday's. Then out to Sugar Hollow for some hiking, or a kayak trip on the Rivanna or Moormans rivers. Then back my house for some grilling in the backyard.
