Bryauna Kralik is a native of Hampton, Virginia. Currently, Bryauna is a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is double-majoring in broadcast journalism and sociology. Previously, Bryauna worked for the City of Hampton for two years as a Youth Planner. She was responsible for presenting to Hampton’s Planning Commission, revising the Youth Master Plan 2020 and further engaging the City with the youth population. Serving in this role allowed her to gain a new appreciation for local government and its efforts to make progress for future generations. Bryauna’s accolades include her selection as a Gates Millennium Scholar and an Emma Bowen Foundation fellow. Her favorite quote is, “aspire to inspire.” In her spare time, Bryauna enjoys creating YouTube videos, reading novels and traveling.
What makes Charlottesville-Albemarle special to you?
I am super excited to learn more about the area and all it has to offer. Thus far, I enjoy walking on the downtown mall and eating tasty food.
Best part of working at Charlottesville Tomorrow?
The location is unique and has a lot to explore. I also love the natural light and gallery in our office!
Most interesting trip away from Charlottesville?
I will be traveling to Belize this upcoming July with my school’s leadership program. We will be volunteering at a village summer camp and working with local youth for two weeks. This will be my first international trip.
What’s still on your bucket list?
I have a long list! I want to go skydiving, visit the Grand Canyon and go on a cruise to Jamaica.
