On Saturday, May 5 Central Library will host a How-To Festival from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

There will be something for everyone at this fast-paced interactive library takeover event. Attendees are welcome to drop in for 15-30 minute sessions and learn about a variety of topics, from how to design videos, put on cosplay makeup, go birding, and more.

Sessions will take place both inside and outside the library. Other topics that will be covered at the event include composting, podcasting, bullet journaling, emergency preparedness, and auditioning for a play, among others. The JMRL Bookmobile will be available for touring along with a fire truck.

JMRL’s 3D printer will be in action throughout the event and the Friends of the Library will have a mini book sale. Free Comic Book Day will also be going on at the library — in conjunction with Atlas Comics — so attendees may pick up a free comic book while they’re at the festival.
