The Charlottesville Municipal Band, the soundtrack of our community since 1922, will return to The Paramount Theater for four programs in their 96th Season Summer Concert Series on June 19, July 3, July 17, and July 31. Each performance will begin at 7:30PM and will be led by Music Director and Conductor Stephen R. Layman. This concert series is free to attend. As this popular event is always well-attended, patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
The June 19 performance, which will kick off the exciting 96th season at The Paramount will feature soloists trumpeter Rachel Duncan in “Haydn Trumpet Concerto II & III”, and trombonist Steve Sanford in “Blue Moon”.

Additional soloists include vocalists Julie Stavitski and Jim Wynton for the July 3 Family Pops performance; vocalist Doug Schneider for the July 17 performance; and trombonist Jason Dech for the July 31 performance.
Before each concert from 7:00PM -7:30PM there will be a musical instrument petting zoo for children where they can explore the instruments of the band.
