City of Charlottesville launches MyCville app

New tool allows citizens to report problems, request services and track progress
The City of Charlottesville has launched MyCville, a new online and mobile phone-based tool that allows citizens to report problems, request services, and to track the resolution from start to finish. We are excited to pilot this new approach to engaging citizens and for providing responsive customer service.
MyCville is the City’s new Citizen Relationship Management tool. The application allows a community member to request services and report issues from the convenience of their mobile phone. Reports are automatically routed to the appropriate staff and they can include a picture and report the exact location. A map of nearby issues is also displayed so the community can see what friends and neighbors may have already reported.
See something that needs fixing?
Take a picture, give us a description, and submit your ticket.
Our staff will keep you informed as the issue is resolved.
This is the first phase of MyCville’s implementation and we are focusing on the most commonly requested service needs and issue reports.
Service requests include:
- Billing questions
Building inspections and permits
Free smoke detector installation
Recycling container requests
Issue reports include:
- Graffiti
Litter
Overgrown landscapes
Potholes
Sidewalk safety
Traffic sign issues
Traffic signal issues
Missed trash or recycling pickups
