Mallek defeats Wyant; Boyd, Dorrier re-elected
Rivanna District
Incumbent Republican Ken Boyd has won re-election to the Board of Supervisors, defeating Democrat Marcia Joseph by only 146 votes. Boyd received 2,405 votes to Joseph’s 2,259 votes. Registered voter turnout in the Rivanna District was 41.7 percent.
Scottsville District
Democrat Lindsey Dorrier has easily fended off his two challengers in the race for the Scottsville seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Denny King and Kevin Fletcher split the opposition. Dorrier received 2,096 votes, Denny King got 897, and Fletcher received 767. Registered voter turnout in the Scottsville District was 35.7 percent.
White Hall District
Democrat Ann Mallek has defeated incumbent Republican David Wyant for the White Hall seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Mallek won with 2,953 votes to Wyant’s 2,348 votes. Registered voter turnout in the White Hall District was 49 percent.
