From the newsroom: It’s our 14th anniversary!

This week, we celebrate our 14th anniversary. On September 15th of 2005, Charlottesville Tomorrow published our first online article. Over the years, we’ve made lots of changes, but we continue our original commitment to engage our community through hyperlocal, nonprofit journalism.

Interconnected Streets:

The Neighborhood Model states the following goal for development in our population centers:  “A network of streets, bikeways, pedestrian paths, and bus routes will connect new neighborhoods as well as existing residential areas and nonresidential districts.” (CT-October 20, 2005)

Ruckersville Parkway:

Retiring Delegate Mitch Van Yahres backs a new road project called the Ruckersville Parkway to alleviate congestion on Route 29 North. (CT-October 27, 2005)

Candidate Forum:

“I believe this is the first time a “Podcast” (Internet audio feed) has ever been made available for a local election candidate forum in Charlottesville-Albemarle.”  (CT-October 5, 2015)

Places29 Vision:

The region should expect a stable growth rate characterized by an increasing number of young households AND mature households (high growth rates among households aged 65+. (CT-November 8, 2005)
