After years of development, a draft of Albemarle County’s first Economic Development Strategic Plan is complete.
The plan, which has been in the works since 2015, already has ruffled feathers in the county office building.
At a meeting last week, Supervisor Ann H. Mallek and Chairwoman Diantha McKeel said they were frustrated with the content of the plan so far and the pace of its implementation.
“This looks like a rehash of where we’ve been, and I was looking for specific things,” Mallek said. “Where are we going next? I want something to do tomorrow, not three years from now.”
