Albemarle students take the lead in helping to address bullying

Students in Albemarle County’s public high schools have put together recommendations on how they believe the school division can better address and understand bullying — and they’re hoping those ideas can advance.

The County Student Advisory Council, a group of representatives from the division’s four high schools, has been discussing the matter for months. Their collective ownership of the subject has resulted in a set of ideas they think would best address school climate.

In May, the group met with School Board Chairwoman Kate Acuff to share those findings.
