Opinion/Editorial: Give Palmer 2nd term on board
Daily Progress Editorial Monday, November 06, 2017 at 9 a.m.
Liz Palmer knows her stuff.
After four years on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, the Samuel Miller District Democrat is running for re-election. We believe she deserves a second term.
One of Ms. Palmer’s primary concerns is natural resource protection, including safe and sufficient drinking water and adequate opportunities for trash removal and recycling. She began working on such problems as an appointed member to various county boards long before winning election as a supervisor, and is extremely knowledgeable on the issues.
She describes herself as “a dependable vote for school funding,” including supporting the recent school bond issue.
