Walker’s style of communication unabashedly aggressive

A review of emails sent from the six candidates for Charlottesville City Council to current councilors show that one candidate has been particularly outspoken on an array of issues ranging from her own difficulties with a community nonprofit to allegations of corruption and discrimination.
Independent candidate Nikuyah Walker has sent dozens of emails to city leaders since the start of 2016, outlining her concerns about policy decisions, councilors’ comments and issues related to racial inequality and wealth disparity in the community.
The often-confrontational emails are highly critical of some councilors and other city officials and highlight her activist approach to aiding minorities and the poor.
