Angilee Shah is an editor and reporter who focuses on reporting for diverse communities. She specializes in building teams and content that is relevant and fresh for people who are too often left out of media narratives. Prior to joining Charlottesville Tomorrow as Editor-in-Chief, Shah spent six years as a founding editor of Global Nation, PRI’s The World’s coverage of immigration in the US. She spearheaded a successful campaign to bring 50 new contributors into public media — in a year. Her reporting and editing work has spanned the globe, including an edited volume about everyday lives in China and a trio of investigative stories at the end of Sri Lanka’s 30-year civil war. She has lived in Charlottesville with her partner since 2019.
