Steve Koleszar – Albemarle School Board (Scottsville)

Steve Koleszar is a candidate for the Scottsville District seat on the Albemarle County School Board.  Five of the seven seats on board will be determined in the Nov. 3 election. Koleszar is an incumbent running unopposed.

Bio: Steve married his wife Marilyn right after college.  Before coming to Albemarle in 1982, they lived for 5 years in Camden, New Jersey and 9 years in Boston, Mass. Steve has worked in a variety of jobs including: cab driver, teacher assistant, shipper/expediter, treasurer and staff accountant.

Previous political experience: 20 years on the Albemarle County School Board

Neighborhood:  Sherwood Manor

Hometown:  My father was in the Navy so I grew up in many places.  My parents’ home area was Northern New Jersey.

Family:  Married 46 year to wife Marilyn.  2 sons, Luke and John graduated from Albemarle High School, attended Virginia Tech and are engineers.

Other interests and experiences:  I enjoy History, Math and strategic board games.  I am active member of Charlottesville Mennonite Church.
