Supervisors Discuss Crozet Population

At their meeting today, the Board of Supervisors discussed a

draft resolution

related to Crozet’s future population.  A podcast of this entire agenda item is available below.

At the beginning of the meeting, eleven members of the Crozet-area community provided feedback to the Board on the resolution (Photo: Jim Stork speaking to the Board).  All of these residents expressed concerns about the recent increase in the population projections from 12,000 to 24,000 people.  Many asked that the draft resolution not be passed.

The Board discussed Crozet growth issues for an hour before deciding not to approve any resolution and to seek additional feedback from the recently formed Crozet Advisory Council.  Charlottesville Tomorrow will post further analysis of this discussion later this week.
