Zakia Haque is the Executive Director of the Association of Muslim Chaplains. She is involved in her local mosque community and served as principal of the Sunday School at the Islamic Society of Central Virginia for seven years, and has participated in several interfaith initiatives. Haque holds an M.A. in Islamic Studies from the American Islamic College and an M.A. in social work from the University of Chicago. She relocated from the Chicago area to Charlottesville with her family in 2015.
