Omicron boosters are now available in the Charlottesville area — and beyond.
The local Blue Ridge Health District received its first doses of the vaccine Tuesday and began offering them at local clinics Wednesday. There are two boosters currently available that target the two most dominant COVID-19 variants circulating in the United States, one made by Pfizer, the other Moderna.
To receive a free booster, you can schedule an appointment with the Blue Ridge Health District at this website.
Dozens of other pharmacies in the Blue Ridge Health District are also offering the vaccine. You can find them and schedule appointments at vaccines.gov.
