Congregate Cold Weather Shelter

Tags

During cold weather months, PACEM (People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry) coordinates overnight shelters for people with nowhere else to stay. “Congregate” means that shelter sites rotate every 1-2 weeks among faith-based organizations who lend their facilities to PACEM. Men and women stay at separate sites; non-binary folx may stay where they feel most comfortable. Services include cots with bedding in quiet group settings, hot dinners, restrooms, and case management services. Showers, laundry services, clinical services, medical care navigation, and help recovering from substance use disorders may also be available depending on partner organizations’ schedules and facilities.
