Adam Hastings
Adam Hastings is a candidate for the Charlottesville School Board.  Four of the seven at-large seats on board will be determined in the Nov. 3 election. There are no contested races. Other candidates include: Sherry Kraft, Amy Laufer and Jennifer McKeever.

Bio: A Charlottesville resident since 2004, Adam has spent his career working in education in Central Virginia as a middle and high school teacher, a high school administrator, and dean at PVCC. With a professional background in both traditional and career and technical education, and an academic background in educational leadership and online learning, Adam has extensive experience with the issues facing our schools and community. Adam is running for school board in order to apply his professional expertise and personal conviction to improve the quality of life of all of our Charlottesville neighbors through the transformative power of public education.

Other interests and experiences: I enjoy Charlottesville and Virginia through friends, food, arts, and fun.  In addition, I am active with the Arc of the Piedmont and local youth lacrosse.
