Camp Holiday Trails Celebrates Inaugural 5 Miler
Charlottesville, VA – Saturday, July 18th
Camp Holiday Trails 5-Miler, is a challenging 5-mile footrace starting at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville, Virginia, along Reservoir Road, a scenic, hilly, gravel road until reaching Camp Holiday Trails. Here runners will run through camp past the beloved camp horses, and Dining Hall and up a challenging climb to the summit of camp where they will be enthusiastically greeted by the Campers who will be celebrating their own special athletic event at camp this day– the time-honored camp tradition known as Camp Olympics. From here, the runners descend back down to Reservoir Road and finish back at Trinity Presbyterian Church with refreshments, music, and friends.
Camp Holiday Trails empowers, encourages, and educates children with chronic illnesses, their families, and healthcare professionals through traditional camp programs aimed at personal growth. All proceeds from the race will help Campers attend life changing camp, where the focus is on the Camper, not the illness.
