Charlottesville, VA—Anne-Marie Slaughter, President and CEO of the national think tank and civic enterprise New America, former Dean of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, former White House and State Department advisor, and bestselling author of Unfinished Business: Women, Men, Work, Family (2015), will deliver a keynote address at the sixth annual Tom Tom Founders Festival. Slaughter will be joined by a host of other prominent speakers, including cofounder of New Belgium Brewing Company Kim Jordan; founding partner at 500 Startups Dave McClure; and cofounder and CEO of CODE2040 Laura Weidman Powers. They are among the more than two hundred speakers who will address the Festival.

Slaughter will appear at two high-profile Festival events: the popular Founders Summit, a one-of-a-kind assemblage of America’s leading innovators and entrepreneurs, and the inaugural Hometown Summit, America’s biggest conference for small cities. Slaughter’s Founders Summit speech will address issues related to her remarkable journey from growing up in Charlottesville, to becoming the first female Dean of Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, a leading advisor to the State Department and White House, and author of the most-read article in the history of The Atlantic Monthly, “Why Women Still Can’t Have It All.” During the Hometown Summit, Slaughter will address renewing American politics, prosperity, and purpose in the digital age, as part of a panel discussion with mayors and other public sector leaders.
