The Board of Commissioners of the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (CRHA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Grant Duffield to lead the agency as its new Executive Director.

Mr. Duffield comes to Charlottesville with more than 20 years of experience in high-level agency management and affordable housing leadership. Most recently, he has been serving as the Deputy Director of the State of South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission. Prior to that he was the City Manager of Tega Cay, South Carolina.  Throughout his life, Mr. Duffield has dedicated himself to innovative affordable housing initiatives having worked for or volunteered with several leading-edge South Carolina affordable housing enterprises, including Affordable Housing Resources, Inc., Midlands Housing Trust Fund, and the Columbia Development Corporation.

CRHA is a housing and anti-poverty organization that manages 376 units of public housing in Charlottesville for the exclusive use of low-income families, seniors and disabled individuals, and the homeless. Additionally, CRHA oversees nearly 400 Housing Choice Vouchers and will soon begin a multi-year redevelopment process for 45 acres it owns within the City of Charlottesville.

Mr. Duffield will begin work with CRHA on May 23.
