CIC TO HOLD GRADUATION ON JUNE 22
Sixth Class of 27 Entrepreneurs to Graduate from 17-week Workshop
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The Community Investment Collaborative (CIC) will hold its 6th graduation ceremony on Monday to celebrate 27 entrepreneurs completing its entrepreneurial education program.
“We’re proud of all our entrepreneurs who have spent 17 weeks doing the hard work it takes to research, learn and put together their businesses. They’ve learned marketing, sales, about hiring and human resources and the financial pieces of their business,” said Stephen Davis, President of CIC. “And more importantly, they’ve built powerful networks that are so important in being successful in business. Each entrepreneur knows that they are not alone: their colleagues in class, the volunteer discussion leaders and workgroup leaders, the mentors they’ve been matched with are all committed to their success.”
Graduates have the option to be paired with mentors and are eligible to apply from micro-loans to help them start or expand their business.
