The Charlottesville Police Department will be conducting another Citizen’s Police Academy starting August 25, 2016 through November 10, 2016. Participants of the Citizen’s Academy will attend class every Thursday evening from 6pm to 8:30pm. Classes will be held at the Charlottesville Police Department located at 606 East Market St (next to the Market St Parking garage).

The Citizen’s Police Academy is a program created by the Charlottesville Police Department that will educate those that attend, of the operations of the Charlottesville Police Department. Class lectures will be conducted by members of the Police Department including; Chief Alfred S. Thomas, Sr., Command Staff, Detectives and Officers in various specialty units.  Past participants have found this program both informative and rewarding.
