Charlottesville City Council’s Chief of Staff and Clerk of Council Paige Rice has resigned her position. Her last day in this role will be Friday, September 21st.
Ms. Rice joined the City as Clerk of Council in 2010 and has led the Council Office as it has taken on additional responsibilities in response to the needs of our community, including the recent expansion of the office to include Council personnel focusing on outreach as well as research and policy.
The City Council appreciates the service of Ms. Rice over the last eight years and wishes her the best as she moves on to the next exciting phase in her professional life.
Council will begin advertising for the position Ms. Rice is vacating in the coming days.
