Though the deadline for first-time applicants is October 31, 2016, all applicants are encouraged to apply by April 1st, in time to determine eligibility prior to the June 5, 2016 tax bills.

The following criteria must be met to qualify for the real estate tax relief:

First-time applicants must also provide proof of age and (if applicable) a certified copy of the death certificate of any deceased property co-owner. First-time disabled applicants under age 65 must provide medically-certified proof of disability.
