On May 11, 2015, the John W. Warner Parkway was formally dedicated by the city of Charlottesville. While in Congress, Senator Warner was responsible for directing federal funding to support construction of what was then known as the Meadow Creek Parkway Interchange at the U.S. Route 250 bypass.
The dedication ceremony was held at the Dogwood Vietnam Veterans Memorial at McIntire Park.
