Three Democrats and an independent snared four Albemarle County supervisor seats Tuesday, sweeping aside a pair of Republican incumbents.
In the Samuel Miller District, Democratic challenger Liz Palmer defeated Republican incumbent Duane E. Snow, 57 percent to 43 percent. In the Rio District, Democrat Brad Sheffield tallied 57 percent of the vote, compared with Republican incumbent Rodney S. Thomas’ 43 percent.
