For Immediate Release

Fall 2015 Bike and Pedestrian Counts

Volunteers are needed to collect over 200 hours of bike and pedestrian count data at 10 different locations throughout the day on October 8, 10, 11 and 13. This effort of the Charlottesville-Albemarle MPO is in partnership with the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, the University of Virginia and local bike advocates to gather data on bicycle and pedestrian patterns in the area. Data on bicycle and pedestrian trips will aid in highlighting where to focus limited local, state, and federal resources and help to justify funding for bike/ped projects. Volunteers are what make this effort possible! For more information or to sign up to volunteer, visit http://tjpdc.org/transportation/bikecount2015.asp
