Thanks to our supporters, Charlottesville Tomorrow was able to exceed our extended goal of 250 donors in the final month of 2020. December’s total of 288 individual donors marked the highest single month in Charlottesville Tomorrow’s fifteen-year history.

“We started our end-of-year fund drive with the goal of reaching 200 donors during the month of December,” said Charlottesville Tomorrow’s Development Director Michaux Hood. “Quickly,  we realized our readers were responding in record numbers, so we pushed our fund drive goal up to 250 donors. Finishing the month with a record number reinforces our belief in the importance of the work our reporters have done throughout 2020, and shows the investment of our supporters in our plans for providing sustainable local public service journalism in 2021 and beyond.”

In total, 613 individuals supported Charlottesville Tomorrow with a contribution in 2020. That total, also a record, was a 42% increase over 2019’s total of 431 donors.

Our entire team thanks you!
